The project consisted of interior office renovations on the basement, 1st & 2nd levels within two (2) existing buildings on Farmington Road in Livonia, MI, totaling 25,494 SF. The scope of work included the removal & infill of an existing interior stairway within the west building and the addition of a new stair exit on the west façade. Minor interior alterations to basement level including one for one replacement of plumbing fixtures & finishes within the existing restrooms. Upgraded interior gypsum finishes with glass office fronts for school district administrators on the 1st & 2nd levels of both buildings.
Challenges
Overcoming material & manpower challenges caused by COVID-19 within the typical short construction window dictated by the school’s administrators’ return.
