Characteristics
The 2021 Cares Act Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Project included work at Thorne Elementary School, Robichaud High School, and The Bradford Administration Center.
Both Thorne Elementary School and Robichaud High School included office renovations, additions of secured entry vestibules, electrical infrastructure upgrades, new generator hookups, new boilers, and heating/air conditioning units in classrooms.
The Bradford Administration Center work included a generator hookup box and minor electrical changes.
Challenges
The specified electrical gear had over a year lead time, temporary power was required to enable heat during the school year while awaiting the gear. Due to lead times of heating units, work during the school year was required, and therefore we had to phase the project to ensure completion.
